This Terms of Trade document sets out the conditions under which Parsell Electrics Ltd provides electrical services. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. They cover quotations, payments, cancellations, liabilities, and responsibilities for domestic and small commercial clients.
1. Scope of Services
Parsell Electrics Ltd provides professional electrical services, including:
• Domestic repairs and maintenance
• Full or partial rewires
• Appliance circuit installations
• Lighting installations and upgrades
• Consumer unit and breaker panel upgrades
All work is carried out in compliance with current UK wiring regulations and safety standards.
2. Quotations and Estimates
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
• Quotations are based on initial inspections and may be subject to change if additional work or hidden issues are identified.
• Any variations must be agreed in writing before work continues.
3. Payment Terms
• Invoices are payable on completion of work unless a prior agreement is in place.
• Deposits may be requested for larger projects or installations.
• Late payments may incur interest under UK Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation.
4. Scheduling and Access
• Clients must provide safe access to the property and a suitable environment for electrical work.
• Work may be rescheduled if access is unsafe or unsuitable.
• Parsell Electrics Ltd is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances outside our control.
5. Cancellations and Variations
• Cancellation of work must be communicated in writing.
• Costs may be incurred if materials have been purchased or work has already commenced.
• Variations to the scope of work require written agreement and may impact pricing and scheduling.
6. Safety and Compliance
• All services are delivered by qualified electricians following UK wiring regulations and health and safety standards.
• Clients should ensure that electrical systems are in a safe condition for work to be performed.
• Parsell Electrics Ltd is not liable for pre-existing issues not disclosed before the work.
7. Liability
• Liability is limited to the invoice value of the services provided.
• Parsell Electrics Ltd is not responsible for indirect, consequential, or financial losses arising from our work.
• Clients are responsible for ensuring installations are used safely following completion.
8. Equipment and Materials
• Materials and equipment supplied by Parsell Electrics Ltd remain the property of the company until full payment is received.
• Any client-supplied materials must meet required safety standards. Parsell Electrics Ltd is not liable for issues arising from substandard or incompatible materials.
9. Warranty
• Workmanship is guaranteed in line with industry standards.
• Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products, including consumer units, lighting, and appliances.
• Warranty claims must be submitted promptly with evidence of the defect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Trade are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
